It’s times like right now where i can honestly say that Technology rocks. I’m sitting in the train with my laptop, hooked up to the 3G network via my iPhone.
Or another example, my phone was running out of power - but i had my laptop in my bag. Connect the cable and the phone recharges! What a wonderful world.
Gary Vaynerchuk, best-selling author of “Crush IT - why now is the time to cash in on your passion” has laid a lot of great ideas out, both in the book itself but also on his website www.garyvaynerchuk.com - a few of them strikes me as being incredibly brilliant.
The “Thank-You Economy”
Basically Gary argues that by creating quality content free of charge, people are driven to thank by either buying products, visiting you or even donating directly. Gary statued an example of this by selling millions of copies of Crush-IT while giving out most of the book’s content in keynotes and on the videos on his website. People did not buy the book to expect new revolutionary theories, although his book is great. People got the book as a thank you to him.
Be Passionate
Passion is everything. It does not matter if you are into the smurphs or whatever the fuck you decide to have a passion for, if the passion is there - the quality content comes by itself.
Write about your passion, no matter the size
In a recent video, Gary argued that no matter how small your niche was, there was always space for it. He even goes as far to claim that a lot of bloggers fail because they blog about something as generic as food.
My websites: http://www.wineapprentice.net and the danish equivalent, and my appearance on twitter are all products of Gary Vaynerchuk’s teaching. I thank him a lot and hope that he continues to be great in 2010.

I hope everyone are enjoying their evenings! I’m going to work early tomorrow, and it’s even my usual day off, but gotta go anyway :(
