I Love Technology
It’s times like right now where i can honestly say that Technology rocks. I’m sitting in the train with my laptop, hooked up to the 3G network via my iPhone. Or another example, my phone was running out of power - but i had my laptop in my bag. Connect the cable and the phone recharges! What a wonderful world.

Some of my favourite Vaynerisms
Gary Vaynerchuk, best-selling author of “Crush IT - why now is the time to cash in on your passion” has laid a lot of great ideas out, both in the book itself but also on his website www.garyvaynerchuk.com - a few of them strikes me as being incredibly brilliant. The “Thank-You Economy” Basically Gary argues that by creating quality content free of charge, people are...

Just a short review here of the 2006 Château Mondorion 2006: St. Emilion Grand Cru. The 2006 from St. Emillion is a grand cru which makes it a part of about 200 wines in st-emillion that were not found adequate to be awarded with Grand Cru Classé. At about $30 you can’t really complain about that. When i first poured it directly from the bottle the taste was very anonymous, very sealed and...

Today i had the opportunity to taste a few various dessert wines that we don’t normally taste. First a LBV Port 2005, then a Marsala NV and then a weird italian one whose name i cannot remember (note to self: take notes..) Château D’Yquem and Port It’s been a long know fact that wine authorities like Robert Parker give way too good scores for the dessert wines (case in point: Château D’Yquem)...

Just a teaser here for now, but i went to get the first 2 bottles for my up and coming series titled “The cheapest wines in Denmark” they were about $3 a bottle and were from Spain, which surprised me a little. Once i get a Camera up and running i’ll taste and review them (Gary Vaynerchuk-style) Chosing my medium I thought long and hard about the medium i would chose for my content, i feel...

Howdy, Today i was contemplating my future in the industry of wines and with a colleague I came to talk about Master of Wine. What intrigued me the most was a couple of facts: The record for Youngest Master of Wine ever is 28 years old, giving me a little over 6 years to prepare. Furtheremore there are 0 Danish Masters of Wine. I could make history twice. Being employed in the business is...

A plethora of whiskey!
The Fair On Saturday November 7th we had a whiskey fair planned in the store, 4 of the major national importers each brought a wide selection of their whiskeys, which could then be purchased in 2cl shots with prices ranging from 10 kr ($2) to 100kr ($20). I went to work at 9 am, and 2 pm the whiskey fair started. Our store was open for another two hours, so this was the most crucial point...

The weather sucks! “Whenever you dont know what to say, just talk about the weather” Frankly the weather sucks right now. I’m a huge fan of mild weather, the kind of weather where you can wear a long-sleeved sweatshirt and be fine. I guess i don’t hate winter that much, nor summer. But i ¤”!#¤&%!Å#¤”P hate the kind of weather where its grey, rainy and cold. When you’re outside all you...

Port wine Tasting!
I had the fortunate opportunity to go to a port wine tasting in the capital with about 15 retailers, who gave out samples of a wide range of wines. I went around and started by tasting the Tawnies (10 and 20 year) and found some pretty good ones, I’m a pretty big fan of the Tawny port wines (particularly the 20+ ones) because of the balance between the fruit, acid and nutty taste. Then we went...
